King John II of Aragon has been slain! His son, Ferdinand, through inheiritance and political manouvering, unites all of Christian Spain together, and forces the last muslims out of Granada. The foundation has been set for the Spanish golden age to come!

The native economy focuses mainly on wood, but you also need gold, which is aquired every 60 seconds (10 times your food cap). It is wise to trade excess gold to europeans for their wood or protection. Do not underestimate diplomacy.

Year 1499 to 1501 - Amerigo Vespucci, a Spanish explorer leaves for 3 years and establishes a colony in south america. Loosing his colony, Amerigo comes back to Spain and brings back 350 wood to Spain.

You are Spain, if you want, you can send a peasant to the eastern side of Hispaniola to gain a colony. Also, you can destroy Dark Green's capital, Tenochitlan to gain a whole bunch of goodies including Mexico City.
